Common Questions

How do I subscribe to a podcast?

Go to the Discover tab, search for a podcast by name, and tap Subscribe. The podcast and its episodes will appear in your Library.

How do I add a podcast by URL?

In the Discover tab, tap the + button in the top right and paste the RSS feed URL. This works for private feeds too.

How do I find audiobooks?

Switch to Audiobooks in the Discover tab and search by title or author. ListenUp uses LibriVox, a library of free public domain audiobooks.

How do I import my own audio files?

In the Library tab, tap Import Audio Files (or the + button) and select files from the Files app, iCloud Drive, or any connected storage provider.

Where are my downloads stored?

Downloaded episodes and chapters are stored on your device. You can see total storage used in Settings > Storage and remove individual or all downloads from the podcast or audiobook detail view.

What is Smart Speed?

Smart Speed detects silent gaps in audio and accelerates through them, saving you listening time without changing the speaking pace. It works with downloaded episodes and local files.

What is Voice Boost?

Voice Boost normalizes volume across different speakers and sections, so you don’t need to adjust volume constantly. It works with downloaded episodes and local files.

Does ListenUp work with AirPods?

Yes. Play/pause, skip forward (double-tap), and skip backward (triple-tap) all work with AirPods and other Bluetooth audio devices.
