Where in the… is a geography guessing game developed by Port City Creations. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

Data Collection

Where in the… does not collect personal information. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

  • No analytics or telemetry
  • No advertising or ad tracking
  • No account creation required (Game Center is optional)
  • No personal information is ever sent to Port City Creations

How the App Works

Where in the… stores game progress, achievements, and settings locally on your device. Country data is bundled with the app — no network requests are needed to play solo.

Game Center

If you choose to play multiplayer, Where in the… uses Apple’s Game Center for matchmaking and real-time communication between players. Game Center is managed by Apple and governed by Apple’s privacy policy .

Game Center is optional. Solo play works without it.

Data Error Reports

Where in the… includes an optional feature that lets you report suspected errors in country data (e.g., a wrong capital city or flag). If you submit a report, it is sent to a Port City Creations CloudKit database. A report contains:

  • The country code and name
  • The reported category (e.g., “Capital”, “Flag”)
  • The question and answer the app showed you
  • Your written description of the issue
  • Your app version and platform (iOS, macOS, or tvOS)

Reports contain no personal information and are used solely to improve the app’s data. This feature is entirely optional and only triggered by an explicit user action.

In-App Purchases

Where in the… offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock premium themes. All payment processing is handled by Apple via StoreKit. Port City Creations never receives your payment information or Apple ID details.

Share Cards

When you share your results, Where in the… generates an image on your device. The image contains your score and guesses but no personal information. Sharing uses your device’s standard share sheet — Where in the… does not upload the image to any server.

Data Storage

Game progress, achievements, and settings are stored locally on your device. The only data stored outside your device is optional data error reports submitted to CloudKit (see above).

Third-Party Services

Where in the… uses the following Apple-provided services:

  • Game Center — optional multiplayer matchmaking and communication
  • CloudKit — optional data error report submission
  • StoreKit — optional in-app purchase for premium themes

No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.

Children’s Privacy

Where in the… does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
